Appointment Types (V2)
Appointment Types allow you to offer a choice of different kinds of meetings, all on the same booking page.
Appointment Types can be used if your options have
- different durations
- different prices
- different availability
- different locations
All booking pages are created with one Appointment Type by default. This sets the duration of your booking page. Displaying multiple Appointment Types for bookers to choose from is available on all paid plans, on the latest version of YCBM (V2), released in September 2026. You can check which version you are on by looking at the footer of your account.
Editing the default duration of your booking page
All booking pages are created with one Appointment Type by default. This sets the duration of your booking page. To change the duration, head to your Organization settings > Appointment Types. Or click here.
Click on the default appointment type to change the duration, location, or price.
By default, bookers will not see your appointment type if there is only one on a page.
Why Use Multiple Appointment Types
Using multiple Appointment Types is a great way to display your full offer to customers.
- Differentiate between free intro calls and paid client calls. Make sure clients know the difference between the types of meetings they can have, and control when you can be booked for each one.
- Show all the services your business provides. List all your services on one page, you can group them together in a 'nested' display,
Take payments for your services. Set a price for each option and take payments through Stripe. You can offer $0 options, and allow clients to select more than one appointment type in one session. YCBM calculates the total time and total cost.
Hybrid schedules. Set a different location for each Appointment type. Let bookers select between in-person or online meetings, set specifically to your schedule.
How to Create Additional Appointment Types
Account Owners and Admins can create Appointment Types. They are created at organization level and added to individual pages, so if you need to make changes to one, it will update across every booking page that Appointment Type is a part of.
To add Appointment Types to your account, head to your Organization settings > Appointment Types. Or click here.
Select + Create Appointment Type.
- Add the name
- Set the duration of the Appointment Type
- Add which location preference should be used
- Set an optional Price
- if the Appointment Type has different availability, use the drop down to adjust times and toggle days off if needed (Note: only restrict the hours if that specific service has different availability than the working hours you set in your User Profile.)
Adding Multiple Appointment Types & Durations to a Booking Page
Head to the Appointment Type tab of the booking page settings. After adding the Appointment Types, you'll see the option to display the Appointment Types listed as a dropdown, or listed as a separate page.
Listed as a dropdown: this gives bookers the option to choose the duration. It shows the lengths of the appointments that you can offer, but no other details. These don't need individual names because they won't be displayed; they can simply be called 30 minutes and 60 minutes for example.
Listed as a separate page: this creates a new page that bookers see first, with a full description and prices, so they can select the Appointment Type they want to use.
Account-wide appointment types
On paid plans, multiple Appointment Types can be added to the Booking page under the Duration & Location tab of the booking page settings.
To add an account-wide appointment type (which you set up in your organization), click on the + or the three dots to add it to the page. In the pop-up box, start typing the name of the Appointment Type you want. You can select as many as you need to in this box, then click Update to add them all at once.
Page level appointment types (Coming Soon)
On paid plans, you can also add additional page level Appointment Types. These are specific to that page and cannot be used across booking pages. They are also not included in Appointment Type analytics (for example, Most Booked Appointment Type).
The rest of this article is about Appointment Types listed as a separate page.
Displaying Multiple Appointment Types
Grouping
You can group appointment types so they display in a nested fashion. This makes it easier for your customers to find the service they need, and it makes your booking page neater to view with less scrolling on mobile.
Creating groups: Click on "Create appointment group" to add a new group to your page. In the pop-up text box search for the Appointment Types you want in that group. If you already have Appointment Types set up, click on the three dots and select 'edit group' to give the group a name.
Select more than one: You can allow customers to select more than one Appointment Type in the same booking. YCBM will calculate the total time and total price for the entire session.
Using Appointment Types
Selected Appointment Types will show up in booking details and your bookings export. You'll also find Appointment Type data in the Analytics section of your account.
