Enhanced Messaging in Europe
Text messages reach your clients wherever they are, and are proven to reduce no shows. Now send them from a dedicated business line to ensure deliverability, and build trust.
Available on our Professional and Team plan, our Enhanced Messaging service is provided by Capacity SMS. Capacity SMS provisions dedicated phone lines and sends millions of text messages on behalf of businesses of all sizes every month.
How does Enhanced Messaging work?
While our regular SMS service sends messages from a number of different phone lines (which may mean your clients receive your messages from different phone numbers for each booking), our Enhanced Messaging feature allows you to send SMS confirmations, reminders, and follow-up messages to your clients from a line that has been provisioned specifically for your business. This ensures better deliverability, and will give your clients confidence that the message is coming from you.
In Europe, there are two options for sending messages to your clients from a line dedicated specifically for your business.
Dedicated long code number
This is a phone number that you would recognise as a landline or mobile telephone. This line is dedicated solely to your business, so your clients will always receive their booking SMS from the same number. It goes through country-specific compliance, which can take up to 2 weeks, and incurs a one-time procurement/compliance fee.
This dedicated line cannot be branded with your company name, but all messages will come from the same number. If your clients add the number to their contacts, they will see the message comes from you every time.
Alphanumeric Sender ID
In practice, this is very similar to the dedicated line, but it differs in two significant ways:
- Branding:you can brand it, so your clients would see your company name, instead of just a phone number
- up to 11 characters, with at least one letter
- can include +,-, _, &
- no other symbols or punctuation
- No replies: it is for outbound messaging only. If your clients frequently reply to you by SMS (which YCBM converts into an email to you), that would no longer be available.
Costs for Enhanced Messaging
The costs for Enhanced Messaging are as follows:
- €50 one-off fee for provisioning & compliance (paid at the time of application)
- SMS credits subscription
You can choose from two subscriptions to start messaging from your dedicated line: send up to 500 messages per month for €25/month, or send up to 1,000 messages per month for €40/month.
Messages expire at the end of the month and do not rollover. All subscriptions last for one year.
If you exceed the number of messages in your packages, we will automatically top up with a new bundle so you don't run out. You can always move to a bigger bundle plan if this happens regularly.
If you move to the higher bundle plan midway through your subscription, we will automatically top up your credits with the higher amount. The prorated payment for those credits will be added to the next renewal. (Example: Ava is on the $17 bundle and decides to move to the $27 bundle with 5 days left in her bundle subscription. She will immediately get topped up with the 1,000 credits, and her next bundle renewal will be $27, plus $4 to cover the days she started using the new credits).
How to activate Enhanced Messaging
If your business is located in Europe and you would like to apply for Enhanced Messaging, contact our team at support@youcanbook.me. You will need to pay the one-off provisioning fee and then we can start the application.
Capacity SMS handles all the work needed to provision and ensure compliance for your phone line. Please note, once we receive your business information, it can take up to 2 weeks to register your number.

Things to know
- If someone replies to your message on the dedicated line, YCBM will turn that reply into an email and deliver it to your account email address.
- It isn't possible to reply to messages received on Alphanumeric Sender IDs
